Pre and post-natal

Continuing to exercise during pregnancy and after giving birth will help you to make healthy choices which will benefit both you and your baby.

Pilates:

Works the entire body

Teaches mind-body connection to develop inner calm

Teaches breathing control and concentration

Strengthens and aligns your spine as your baby grows

Keeps the joints strong

Maintains body tone

Builds core muscles to support you during labour

Teaches you to activate the pelvic floor

“The acquirement and enjoyment of physical well-being, mental calm and spiritual peace are priceless possessions.”

Joseph Pilates

Classes are a great way to connect with others at a time when you may feel stuck at home. Either enrol for an available class or get together with a group from your ante-natal class and book a weekly session just for yourselves.

It’s never too late in pregnancy to start and you can resume classes six weeks after giving birth, once you have had your post-natal check-up. Bring your baby with you if you haven’t got a baby sitter.
